Kauai Path Kaua'i Coastal Path

As part of their efforts, a conceptual design has been developed for restriping Haleko Road that will be discussed at a community meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 5:30 p.m., at the Lihu‘e Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building, Conf. Room A&B.

Restriping Elements

This striping plan uses the existing pavement width and new paint to: designate sharrows to warn motorists that cyclists will be using the entire downhill lane, climbing lanes for cyclists traveling up the hill, and provides a buffer zone to separate pedestrians from motorists.

Haleko Road connects Rice Street to Kukui Grove Center.
