We are going to join the PIHI cycling club for this event, so we will be a larger combined group of cyclists. Decorate your bikes with plenty of lights, wear your ugly Christmas sweater or whatever festive outfit you deem appropriate and come out and ride! It is gonna be a crowded event, so we’ll need to get there early and be ready to roll out. I’d like everyone there by 5:15pm just to be safe.
Please check out the Lights on Rice website for info about the event. This is a popular December community activity and will be a lot of fun, as well as great exposure for our group. I’m bringing candy canes to pass out while riding. See you all there!

Welcome to the Lights on Rice Christmas Parade.
The parade is held on the first Friday in December each year to welcome the holidays.
The entire Rice Street is closed down from 5:30pm just for this bustling annual event!
One of Kauai’s largest attractions, a must-see event that you want to bring your whole family to! Please plan early to place yourself along Rice Street to enjoy.
This year’s parade has swelled to about 60 units with 3,000 performers!
Parade Route: on Rice Street from Hoolako Street (ACE hardware) to the County Building in Lihue
